A woman's bag was stolen in a department store on Cortland Street. At 4:40 PM on Saturday, August 10, a 74-year-old woman from Queens was shopping on the third floor of the store and left her bag next to the cash register to look at something. When she returned to get her bag, it was gone. Unfortunately, video surveillance did not capture the incident. She canceled all her credit cards, and no unauthorized use was reported. The items stolen were $170 in cash, a leather wallet valued at $80, a black Samsung cell phone worth $50, and a bag priced at $40. The total stolen amounted to $340.
