Celebrating a young 106

On Valentine's Day, Jewish Home Lifecare marked a milestone more impressive than any bouquet of roses or box of chocolates: longtime resident Bridget Taylor turned 106 years old.

Feb. 14 is her actual birthday and Jewish Home staff and other residents celebrated this strong and feisty senior with a party in her honor, complete with live music and cake. When asked about her longevity, Taylor smiled and responded, "I feel too young to be 106!"

A life-long New Yorker born in 1908, she still enjoys listening to music. At the party, a strolling guitarist played That's Amore, in honor of Taylor's Italian heritage.
