Casting Call For Cool Canines
Heres a chance for your dog to get the adoration and recognition he or she deserves. Brooklyn Industries (BKI), an artist-owned design and apparel company, is looking for the [Top Dog] in the worldneither you nor your four-legged friend has to have a Brooklyn zip code. Just show up at one of their designated stores on a specific day so contestants can be photographed by well-known pet photographer [Shaina Fishman](www.shainafishman.com/ ). To keep your pampered pooch mugging, all dogs will be given free treats, or they can enjoy a massage by [Lon Black](http://www.lonblack.com/). BKI will choose nine finalists to be announced on July 6. From then to July 20, people can vote for their preferred pooch on the [BKI website](https://www.brooklynindustries.com/dog_index.aspx). The winner will get a photo shoot for the BKI Journal, their illustration on a special edition T-shirt, 6 pounds of wholesome gourmet dog food from Scooterfood, a $50 gift certificate to the Hope Veterinary Clinic and a $200 gift certificate to Brooklyn Industries. And of course, bragging rights at any and all dog runs. Three runners-up will each get $100 gift certificates to Brooklyn Industries. The canine coronation will be held July 23rd.
From 11 to 3 p.m., June 16 at the Williamsburg store (162 Bedford Ave.), rain date June 17th; June 30 at their Smith Street store (100 Smith Street).
