On March 14, 2010, for the first time ever, jokes will be told topless in the name of breast cancer at GENEROSI-TITTIES! What is GENEROSI-TITTIES? It´s full-frontal philanthropy: A topless comedy show to benefit the Young Survival Coalition.
Presented by Comix, and produced by Leah Dubie (Tru TV, LOGO) and Amy Beckerman (HBO, MTV), GENEROSI-TITTIES will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to The Young Survival Coalition (YSC). YSC is an international organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women with breast cancer. To date, YSC has helped tens of thousands of young women across the United States, and now, get ready to pair nakedness with kindness and check out some GENEROSI-TITTIES! "I´ve never performed topless%u2026in public, but I can´t think of a better reason to tell jokes without my shirt on," said Dubie.
Elvira Kurt (The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, LOGO, Montreal´s Just for Laughs Comedy Festival) will headline an event that boasts some of the best local talent NYC has to offer including Scout Durwood (Shot at Love with Tila Tequila), Amy Albert (Now That You´ve Seen Me Naked) and Selena Coppock (collegehumor.com).

On March 15th, Comix will host one of the most hilarious celebrity reality dating shows. Before Flavor Flav, before Bret Michaels, there was%u2026 Break Through- A Longhardt Look at Love with Chad Longhardt. The multi-talented Brianne Berkson plays depressed, impotent, rock 'n' roll sex god Chad Longhardt, as well as 10 other diverse characters vying for Chad's attention and love. This show was called one of the brightest spots of New York´s "East to Edinburgh" festival by the New York Post, and now you can see why!
After the show, stay for an exhilarating performance by New York based, Amsterdam-native rock band EVENi. They´re your rock band of the future and the writers behind some of Chad's greatest hits! All in all, an evening of laughter and inspiration!

On this particular evening of Irish debauchery, Andrew Maxwell and honorary Irishman Patrice Oneal will share their not-so-lucky stories. Oneal is the star of his own HBO Special and was a frequent guest on Comedy Central´s "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn" and NBC´s "The Office."

This event is part of BAC Folk Arts' year-long project Black Brooklyn Renaissance: Black Arts & Culture, 1960-2010 sponsored by MetLife Foundation and presented by Brooklyn Arts Council in partnership with Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation.
The project is a landmark, year-long initiative that is the first effort of its kind to take a holistic look at Black culture and arts in Brooklyn over five decades. The project explores a range of genres and styles from African drumming to painting to dance and Jazz, and looks at how Black artists retain ties to mid-century social and political movements and particularly how artists preserve legacies and influences across generations. We are also creating an online and paper archive to share this work with future generations.
Starting Feb 28, 2010, join BAC for 12 months of concerts, performances, workshops, readings, screenings, exhibitions and a conference in conjunction with Brooklyn College.

You might have seen Yamil Piedra and Johnny Trabanco, aka A Pair of Nuts, all over the Internet with videos like "The Law Offices of Facmee & Diaz", "Chonga Chat", and "Duel." Their work has garnered them critical acclaim and have been featured on Last Call with Carson Daly, BET, The South Beach Comedy Festival, Funny or Die, and College Humor, and they've headlined at comedy clubs nationwide. For one night only, this Pair of Nuts is bringing their multimedia comedy spectacle to Comix.
Piedra and Trabanco are also two of the stars of the Spanish sketch comedy show soon to hit the airwaves on MegaTV, El Vacilon, where they've worked with some of the biggest Hispanic celebrities including Wilmer Valderrama and Luis Guzman, just to name a few. They are well known for their appeal to audiences of all backgrounds, but don´t take our word for it. What will it be like? Trabanco says "Pure madness. I could sit here and explain it to you in words, but it won't do it any justice. Nuts need to be experienced live."

Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci, aka Garfunkel and Oates, are an adorably bizarre comedy-folk duo that has been making waves everywhere lately. You´ve heard them on the show Scrubs and seen them perform on The Jay Leno Show, now you can see them live when they headline Comix this March.
Often called "the female Flight of the Conchords", the ladies of Garfunkel and Oates have been performing separately for years. Riki has been seen in movies like Million Dollar Baby, The Last House on the Left, Changeling, and TV shows like The Big Bang Theory and Pushing Daisies.
Kate grew up playing classical piano and studying art before she tried her hand in comedy, appearing in TV shows like Scrubs, Rules of Engagement, Cory in the House and the upcoming movie When in Rome. The two met while both were performing at the UCB Theater in LA, and were a huge hit locally. Then their song "Screw You" was featured on an episode of Scrubs, and now they´re a huge hit everywhere.
