Someone stole the wallet of a 50-year-old woman on an uptown M4 bus at 6 PM on Monday, June 10. When the woman got on the bus at 58th Street and Madison Avenue, she used her Metro Card to pay for her fare, put the card back into her purse, and zipped the purse closed. The bus was very crowded, and many people bumped into her along the ride. A little later, she checked her purse and saw that it was open and her wallet was missing. She got off at 79th Street and Madison Avenue, canceled her credit cards, and found that one of her cards had been used. Items stolen included a brown leather wallet valued at $40, $50 in cash, various credit cards, and the woman's New York State driver's license.
