Barry Bonds blasted No. 752 and No. 753 at Wrigley this afternoon, bringing him within two home runs of Hank Aaron’s immortal record. The Bay Area Bomber led off the second inning with a solo blast over the ivy, giving his team a 1-0 lead over the Chicago Cubs. Later, in the seventh inning, he hit another shot, this time a three-run homer. Unfortunately for Barry, San Fran has surrendered nine runs, so the Giants still trail 9-8 despite his super-human (and possibly super-juiced) efforts.
