Bizarre Car Wreck

On my way back to the office, I saw a maroon SUV parked under scaffolding on 28th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. Well it wasn’t exactly parked, more like it had crashed into the steel support columns and was in the process of trying to reverse back onto the street. Didn’t look like it was going to happen any time soon as whenever he inched backwards, the scaffolding threateningly sagged just a little bit more. Dismayed witnesses were overheard voicing questions like, “What the hell?” and “What the *&(#@! is this guy doing?” Seeing as though this part of 28th doesn’t get particularly wild with traffic this time of the day, I’m thinking the driver might have been doing a not-so-good deed. I’ll leave the details to your imagination but he was alone in the car. They say a picture's worth a thousand words—and me without my camera.
