Bike IDs

to the editor: i cannot believe that ian alterman and i are on a small piece of the same page ("bike lane to cause chaos," july 8). you cannot educate those who, even with bike lanes, will continue to go against traffic and through red lights. as i have said many times, there must be an i.d. on the bike so they can be traced and fined. somehow things get done when it hits the pocketbook.
