The New York Historical Society and Ben and Jerry’s are teaming up June 30 for a psychedelic escape from the heat. A Ben and Jerry’s truck will be parked outside of the New York Historical Society on West 77 St., and will offer samples of their “Cherry Garcia” flavored ice cream in honor of the Grateful Dead exhibit on display. Ice cream samples will be given away from 1 to 4 p.m. or until supplies runs out.
The exhibition chronicles the history of the Grateful Dead, and features original artwork, documents, performances and much more from their archive housed at the University of Santa Cruz.
Admission to the exhibit is $12 on 2-for-1 tickets, and will run until September 5.
