Barrier Barrage

An 81-year-old man was assaulted by an unknown person on Columbus Ave.. At 5:45 PM on Saturday, July 20, the man was having a dispute with an unknown person when that individual pushed him. In response, the old man took out a pocketknife, inciting the other to throw a soda can at the old man and then hit him with a metal barrier. The elderly man sustained lacerations to the top of his head and his right hand. The unknown assailant fled in an unknown direction. The victim refused to cooperate with police and was brought to St. Luke's Hospital for treatment.
