BARNARD’S NEW PRESIDENT

Debora Spar was inaugurated as Barnard College’s seventh president on Oct. 23 at Riverside Church. Before her inauguration, Spar was the Spangler family professor of business administration and a senior associate dean for faculty research and development at Harvard Business School. After the ceremony, her inauguration was celebrated at a street party on Claremont Avenue between West 116th and 119th streets.
