    helmer toro, who owns the famous upper west side bagel shop, pled guilty to grand larceny, offering a false instrument for filing and manipulating unemployment insurance tax.

    he was originally accused of pocketing money by stealing tax money taken from his employees' paychecks and avoiding unemployment insurance tax through six shell companies.

    bloomberg news reported that toro, 59, has to pay back $543,413.
