a 51-year-old man contacted police when he noticed that his pills and laptop were missing after he went to his bathroom. the man, who lives on west 95th street and west end avenue, said that at 10 p.m. on june 7, he left his room for "20 seconds" to use the bathroom, according to cops. he closed the door behind him without turning the lock. when he returned, his $600 apple laptop, 280 tablets of painkillers and other prescribed medication was missing. the report did not indicate whether or not the building was an sro.
