Baby Abandoned Safely

A maintenance worker came across a baby in a Long Island hospital restroom today. Apparently, the abandonment meets the terms of the state’s Safe Haven law, which allows parents to leave unwanted infants in designated areas without question. It seems a woman called the Baby Safe Haven hotline earlier this week, seeking advice and was told to leave her baby in a hospital maternity ward. The baby, who is being called Jane Doe Hope, is in fine health today.
