Controversy Over Cooper Union Tuition

The Cooper Union Board of Trustees recently voted to end Cooper Union’s universal free scholarship program in 2014. The school’s small size and selective admissions process allowed the tuition-free program to endure for 150 years.  Students will continue to receive an automatic scholarship and financial aid and admissions will be “need-blind” according to the school.

P.S. 150 Parents React to DOE’s Plan to Relocate School to Chelsea

P.S. 150 Principal Jenny Bonnet sent a letter to parents informing them their children’s school would be moving from its Tribeca location to Chelsea after one more year in its current spot. Bonnet said the Department of Education and the school would work together to make this transition as smooth as possible, including using school
