Attempted Bank Heist

A man attempted to rob a Wachovia bank on May 13 at 12:45 p.m. Police said a teller told them that a man walked into the branch at 2040 Broadway and West 70th Street and said he would kill her if she did not give him $4,000. There was no note or weapon, cops said. The teller refused, and the robber fled south on Broadway.
