Anheuser-Busch Moving to Bronx
Nothing says community like alcohol. Thats why the citizens of the Hunts Point, where Anheuser-Busch [broke ground yesterday] on a new $40 million distribution plant, are lauding the companys move from Long Island City to the Bronx. Its a really, really positive thing for the Bronx in terms of investment, said Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion.
Officials estimate that the plant will stimulate the boroughs economy by creating 100 new positions, as well a hundreds of temporary construction jobs. But more importantly, Anheuser-Busch has vowed to bring solid morals to the hamlet. We support community organizations that work in the areas of arts and culture, and health and education, said Jesus Rangel of Anheuser-Busch community relations. So for those community groups that are looking for a partner, Anheuser- Busch will be working with them on those issues.
Yep, I can see Fordham University and Planned Parenthood signing up to be a partner already. After all, when I think education and responsible decision making, I think alcohol.
