ALERT: Union Square NYPD Action

A reader has called in to report that the NYPD has roped off the area around Union Square near 12th street and 3rd avenue because of a suspicious package. The witness spoke to a cop and confirmed that the bomb squad has been called in. Not sure if we're talking real bomb threat or part three of [yet another New York art student] looking to get their name in lights. Will report when new details emerge.
