Richard Brodsky, an attorney general candidate, got the endorsement of several of his Manhattan colleagues May 4.

The Westchester County Assembly member won the endorsement of fellow Assembly members Jonathan Bing and Brian Kavanagh of the East Side; Richard Gottfried of the West Side; Denny Farrell, who represents Harlem; and Speaker Sheldon Silver of lower Manhattan.

All cited Brodsky"s efforts to reform the MTA and other authorities in the state.

“Nobody has been able to tame rogue agencies like Richard, Bing said in his endorsement statement.

Though Brodsky"s Assembly colleagues are expected to endorse him, they could have also backed another state legislator from Manhattan, State Sen. Eric Schneiderman, who represents the Upper West Side and parts of upper Manhattan.

“Our campaign continues to broaden its geographic base, Brodsky said in a statement. “I am honored that my colleagues strongly believe in my abilities to be an effective attorney general.
