A woman's car was broken into and her property removed on West 84th Street. At 5 PM on Monday, August 12, a 34-year-old woman from the Bronx parked her car on West 84th Street and went to a popular café at West 79th Street and Riverside Park. When she returned to her car, she found that the driver's-side-rear-door window had been broken and property removed. No witnesses to the crime could be found. There were no rocks or other objects left at the scene. Items stolen included a purple backpack valued at $2,400 and an Apple MacBook laptop worth $1,800, for a total haul of $4,200.
