A woman’s racing bicycle was taken on Amsterdam Avenue. At 9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, a 33-year-old woman left her bicycle unlocked and unattended, leaning against the front of an organic juice store on Amsterdam Avenue. Upon completing her transaction, she returned to find that her bike was gone. No cameras recorded the incident, and police searched the area but were unable to find her cycle. The stolen bike was a red-and-black Cannondale Super Six Rival valued at $5,000 and equipped with a Garmin GPS worth $500.
