355 Days 'Til The Next Nat'l Dance Week
As this year's National Dance Week wound down, lucky dance fans were privy to a compelling performance at the Brooklyn Museum of Art on Saturday April 27th. Sponsored by Tendu Magazine with New York Press (oh yeah, shameless plug) as its premier media sponsor, the celebration unites dancers and dance-lovers nationwideand really, everybody falls into one of those groups. The dance series consisted of everything from flamenco to modern to street dance. Momentum Dance Company of Miami Beach, Fl opened with a modern sequence that incorporated worldly music; SharQui entertained with her envy-inducing belly dancing workout; and Illuzions Boiz and Gals had the crowd dancing in their seats as the herd of young hip hop dancers took over the stage. Local dance studios were eager to provide free classes for the duration of dance week, and dancers were happy to volunteer for the ultimate performancewhich, like the rest of them, was free! So pay attention next year, and stalk [www.ndw-nyc.org](http://www.ndw-nyc.org/) in eager anticipation.
