MTA MIRACLE
By Christine Werthman
Jesus might wear the pants in Catholicism, but St. Patrick is the one causing the modern day miracles. Construction on the number 7 train has recently been making subway rides even more miserable for commuters, but the headaches for travelers will soon subside for at least one weekend. The train will be reinstated for St. Patrick’s Day so that commuters don't have trouble getting to the parade in Manhattan. But don’t expect the train to be on time: According to a recent MTA report, difficult passengers delayed 2,000 trains last year. And if you're unclear on what qualifies as “difficult,” just look at the guy next to you on March 17 with the frothy Guinness mustache.
