Even parental discipline doesn’t escape the tentacles of politics in some families. Recently, Camilla McFarland, the 16-year-old daughter of Republican Senate hopeful Kathleen “KT” McFarland, was caught and arrested for allegedly stealing jeans and bikinis. Her mother took the obligatory break from the campaign trail to deal with the most recent family member to jeopardize her run for office. As punishment for the act of privileged teen rebellion, Camilla will reportedly have to campaign with her mother. What ever happened to being grounded or mowing the lawn? Instead, Camilla will begrudgingly help with data entry and stump speeches for the McFarland camp. It seems KT is hoping to harness the power of pubescent angst and resentment to boost her floundering campaign, which trails John Spencer’s in the race for the Republican nomination.
